LOS ALTOS, CA -- Merchant aggregator MerchantCircle and online search site Edgeio.com have inked an alliance to provide MerchantCircle discount retail coupons on Edgeio's web site. The partnership means that MerchantCircle businesses can now obtain wider distribution of their coupons and Edgeio.com obtains a large block of new content to feature on its search engine. Both companies are based in Silicon Valley. MerchantCircle claims it has over 14 million business listings. Edgeio.com went live in March 2006 and claims to have over 100 million items listed in 162 countries.
